Basic and translational research in cardiac conduction system in health and disease

The cardiac conduction system is a specialised tissue that generate and propagate cardiac electrical impulses orchestrating the cardiac pumping action. Nakao Lab at Tokai University School of Medicine aims to uncover the molecular mechanism underlying the functional and transcriptional regulation of the pacemaking ion channels in the cardiac conduction system.
